Sustainability at TAWI

Innovating for a better tomorrow

At TAWI, sustainability isn’t an afterthought — it’s part of everything we do. From how we design our products to how we power our facilities, we’re committed to creating a more sustainable future for our customers, employees, and planet.

Designed with sustainability in mind

Every TAWI innovation starts with a sustainable mindset. Our product development focuses on reducing material usage, waste, and energy consumption — without compromising performance. We build smart lifting solutions that not only improve operations today but also consider the long-term impact on people and the environment.

Built to last

TAWI products are engineered for durability and long service life, helping our customers reduce the need for frequent replacements and unnecessary waste. We’re also working to ensure our products can be easily recycled at the end of their life cycle.

We proudly manufacture in Kungsbacka, Sweden, maintaining high quality standards and reducing transport emissions through our close relationships with local suppliers — several located right around the corner from our facility.

Powered by clean energy

Our production facility in Kungsbacka is powered by 100% renewable electricity. Key environmental investments include:

  • Solar panels on our roof, covering around 65% of our energy needs annually
  • A fully electric vehicle fleet for company use
  • A large number of charging stations to support clean transportation

These investments reduce our carbon footprint and set a strong foundation for future progress.

Supporting sustainable workplaces

TAWI lifting solutions aren’t just good for business — they’re good for people. By removing the need for manual heavy lifting, our products reduce the risk of workplace injuries, lower sick leave, and promote employee retention.

Our ergonomic solutions make it possible for anyone to lift heavy loads safely — regardless of age, gender, or physical strength. This helps create more inclusive and flexible workplaces, where the well-being of employees comes first.

Minimising environmental impact on site

TAWI systems are quick to implement and designed with efficiency in mind. They offer:

  • Minimal downtime during installation
  • Compact footprint, reducing space requirements
  • Seamless integration into existing workflows

This helps customers avoid unnecessary construction and optimise the space and resources they already have.
