When there is more floor space than headroom
TAWI overhead crane systems are versatile in that they are suited for floor mounted structures, which is a great substitute to using the general I-beam suspension in roof construction.
These stand-alone arches, or pillars, are best used when the weight capacity is not sufficient enough, or when then they need to be easily adaptable, as the stand-alone pillars are easy to put together, take apart and transport when needed.
In most circumstances, a floor mounted girder crane system might be the best option. Also, if the roof is uneven or contains barriers for a ceiling-based system, a floor mounted system resolves this issue as well. Another good reason to use this system would be if the work space has very high ceilings, causing the vacuum or hoist lift to be too awkward to use. And finally, for outside work spaces where there is just no roof structure, this system is your best bet.
A floor mounted crane system can push the structure out to all ends of the work space as well as be adjusted to stay confined to one particular area.
