What We Can Lift

When to use single girder cranes
With a single girder from TAWI you can:
- Operate with three dimensions of freedom
- Cover an entire workstation
- Use both vacuum lifters and hoists
- Lifting capacity: <275/3300 lbs
- Max suspension distance: <6000/8000 mm
- Bridge span: <6000/8000 mm
- Profiles: LR86, LR113, LR120, LR170
Single girder cranes - straight forward... and sideways
No environment is the other equal, that’s why we offer the market’s most flexible track, bridge and crane system. For operations on a plain, rectangular work space, the solution is simple – our single girder crane systems.
Structurally tucking away into all four corners of the space, or suspended only from the ceiling, the system allows for unhindered, three-dimensional operation. As great for a single-, as for multiple workstations, the system is the most popular for industrial applications.
The TAWI Single girder crane system is the optimal open platform for most flexible material handling systems, not just because of the operational freedom, but also because of the cost efficiency, the high quality, the small amount of moving parts, the fast delivery as well as simple installation, use and maintenance. An open system for overhead movement in the x-y dimension is enabled by two beams, either in the form of floor attached arches or roof hanging rails, and at least one girder. Movement in the y- dimension is enabled by the tool of choice, either a TAWI vacuum lifter or hoist . The tool is hanged from the bridge and the accompanied vacuum tube or electrical cord is elegantly managed in the overhead structure of the single girder crane system.
For long distances, we recommend your single girder crane system to be designed around a single beam structure in steel, a common industrial installation, as by needing only few, or no, supporting columns the solution has the advantage of being out of the way. A single girder crane system can cover large work surfaces and be equipped with a long lane of multiple bridges to cover many workstations.
